Delete your account & data

KnotChat has no signup — most people use it completely anonymously and have no account to delete. If you used the optional Google login, a small account record exists and you can have it erased by sending us an email request.

How to request deletion

Send an email from the address you signed in with, to sparkscaleindia@gmail.com, using the subject and body below. We use the sending address to verify that the request is really yours, so please write from that account.

Opens your mail app with the subject and body pre-filled. If nothing opens, copy the details above into a new email instead.

What gets deleted

  • Your account record from the optional Google login — email, name and profile picture.
  • Any passes or entitlements linked to that account, and the anonymous visitor and session records we can associate with it.
  • Your push notification token, so the app can no longer send you notifications.

What happens automatically

  • Chats are never shown to anyone after a conversation ends — there is no history, inbox or transcript in the app.
  • Chat and session data held on our servers for moderation and abuse investigation is deleted automatically on a fixed retention schedule, whether or not you send a request.
  • Records of completed payments may be kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after your account is deleted. Payment card and UPI details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored by us.

How long it takes

We acknowledge deletion requests within 7 days and complete them within 30 days of receiving a verified request. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone — you would need to log in again to create a new account.
